Evoking an ancient moment from over 2,000 years ago, dedicated to Horace and his philosophy of Carpe Diem — to live fully in the present, in balance with nature, pleasure, and reason. Wine, local delicacies, and chefs will be the guardians of this vision.

Eine Erinnerung an einen antiken Moment vor über 2.000 Jahren, gewidmet Horaz und seiner Philosophie des Carpe Diem — den heutigen Tag voll zu leben, im Einklang mit Natur, Genuss und Vernunft. Wein, typische Produkte und Köche werden die Hüter dieser Vision sein.

A grand convivial dinner in collaboration with Venosa's finest restaurateurs. A typical Vulture menu featuring traditional Lucanian dishes, paired with the region's finest wines. The Small Plates Dinner will also mark the official opening of the event.

The heart of the event: wine tastings from all regions of Italy, with a particular focus on the outstanding wines of Vulture, Val d’Agri, and the Matera-Ionio area; producers of Lucanian delicacies; masterclasses dedicated to rediscovering the region’s indigenous grape varieties; showcooking with some of the most renowned chefs from Basilicata, along with themed seminars.
